When people want new grass placed in their lawns, they often buy new turf from sod farms. Most sod farms sell turf grass, sod and grass directly to customers. Most local sod farms specialize in sod that thrives in the area where they are located. Many sod farms specialize in monoculture grasses or grasses consisting of one turf type such as Kentucky bluegrass, bent grass, Bermuda grass, rye grass, blue grama grass, or buffalo grass. Some sod farms specialize in selling turf that is made up of grass blends. Sod farms grow the turf grass they sell from seed and sell it in either rolls or square sections of grass. Most sod farms will also install the turf they sell or work with a turf installer.
