There are many kinds of services out there that cater to the needs of the mentally handicapped, the developmentally disabled and the families of the mentally disabled. Some mental handicapped services are respite care services that come in and take care of mentally challenged individuals so that their primary care givers can get a break. Other mental retardation services specialize in taking mentally handicapped individuals out for activities. Some mentally handicapped services and services for the developmentally disabled are places where mentally challenged adults can go and spend the day with other retarded adults under the watchful eye of service administrators.
